Originally from Scotland, Alexander moved to the USA in 2013. Recent design credits include: Deathtrap with Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (Aug 2017); Ragtime with Griffin Theatre, Chicago (May 2017); James and the Giant Peach at Drury Lane, Oakbrook (May 2017); Miranda at Indiana Repertory Theatre (April 2017); The Wiz with Kokandy Productions (March 2017); Urinetown at Northwestern University (Feb 2017); Winterset with Griffin Theatre (Nov 2016). During Spring, Alexander was the Lighting Assistant at Fort Worth Opera’s 2017 season in Texas working on FWO’s Carmen, and Houston Grand Opera’s transfer production of Cruzar La Cara De La Luna. Alexander is Adjunct Lecturer of Lighting Design at the University of Illinois at Chicago, an assistant with Marcus Doshi Design, and was nominated in the 2017 Non-Equity Jeff Awards for his work on Griffin Theatre’s Winterset.
