About
A fierce duet between two women, Knockout is a dance that desires to complicate perception as it quickly jumps within real and imagined terrains, power dynamics, partnerships and all that may exist within the messy in between. The work is a choreographic collage built from cinematic landscapes, iconic fight sequences, odd obsessions, self-defense training, and the kind of girl crushes that bruise.
Initially created as a 12 minute work in 2020, Kilmurray and collaborator / co-performer Kara Brody are in process of developing into a evening length work throughout 2024.
