We will warm up the body discovering the notions of "Flow" and "Groove" as we connect our movement with the beat. We'll discuss the development and fundamentals of House Dance footwork as well as uncovering tools for improvisation, interpreting received information through own freestyle

Born and raised in Russia and now based in The Netherlands, Alesya Dobysh is a professional dancer, choreographer and educator with more than 10 years experience. During the time she mastered House Dance, UK Jazz Fusion and other urban related techniques, studied fundamentals of contemporary dance, actively participated in a “battle” scene and took prizes of international dance festivals such as Juste Debout (France) and Summer Dance Forever (The Netherlands). Her artistic curiosity motivated to expand the practice beyond competitions and in 2012 Alesya co-founded an independent company “MIJ: Matryoshki in jazz”, that became the research platform inside and outside of Russia. With MIJ Alesya performed at the Festival Multimedia Contemporary Art “FORMA” (Moscow), Festival “Fashion Clash” (Maastricht), International Dance Festival “Summer Dance Forever Theatre Nights” (Amsterdam) and took the main prizes at Performing Arts Urban Dance Contest “HOP” (Barcelona), Experimental Dance Festival “Open Your Mind” (Saint Petersburg) and XV Сertamen Coreografic de Sabadell (Spain).
After moving to The Netherlands Alesya continues to develop her movement aesthetic by fusing footwork oriented techniques and her «urban» dance background with personal research on a subject of flow, meanwhile earning experience in a theater world collaborating with the choreographers from «Dansateliers» and «Korzo» productions and «Corpo Maquina» company from The Netherlands, «Black Sheep» company from France, «Iron Skulls» company from Spain and etc.
